I'm Still Alive! ^_^

Impaling is starting to not look like such a bad idea.

So yeah, still haven't closed on our house yet. -_- They keep saying it'll be done tomorrow, and we keep calling tomorrow, and they keep putting us off. So we keep putting the seller off, and I just know if we don't get it done today or tomorrow she's gonna back out on us. I don't really blame her. We've been going at this for three weeks. I'm very willing to impale a few people at this point, my mortgage broker first. At least Craig, our realtor, is still awesome as always and is sticking his neck out to get this done. Go Craig! He is so getting a thank you present.

We moved pretty much everything to mom's garage last night. If angels will prevail, we'll close on our house this morning and be able to move our stuff in tonight. Otherwise, we'll have to move the rest of our stuff to mom's and sleep in her basement for a while. I'd rather not drive to work from Payson if I can help it. We still have a bunch of cleaning to do today. Tasha's mom is awesome and did a lot of cleaning for us yesterday. She saved us a lot of time and effort.

We spent our last night in our old house last night, and it was a very long night. The smoke alarm decided to go off twice in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. We got up and checked the whole house, no smoke, no fire, no gas leak, nothing. I think the house just wanted to torture us one more time. Then this morning, right as I was about to leave, Tasha informed me that it was 5:40, not 6:40. So it seems my alarm got bumped and set forward and hour so I got up at 5 instead of 6. I was wondering why it was so freaking dark at 6:30 in July. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper this morning, and I am not looking forward to going home at 4 and exhaustedly cleaning the house. I just keep telling myself it'll all be over next week.

Whether or not we get our house, it'll all be over next week. If we lose this house, I don't think we'll have the strength to do it all over again with another house. I think we'll just find a place to rent for a year and buy a house next summer. And I'll be really sad because I really like this house, and I have big plans for it. I guess we'll see what happens. All we can do is wait and see.
